Does privacy still exsist?

Posted by: samgreen | Comments (0)

With all the Spy gadgets and spy equipment out there to buy, we have to ask the question of have we gone too far? Have all of us become that nervous about what our neighbours are up to that we need to monitor the other person? The technology is becomming cheaper to buy for more people, and smaller so cameras can fit in something like a pen. And the gadgets are so cheap as to be brought by people just for a laugh, it is cheap enough to be considered by people with a purpose to using it.

So how does this gear benefit us? So you need evidence of vandals destroying your property or a cheating partner this is they way to do it -recordings are proof enough in court. It will mostly also benefit businesses in deterring staff theft and catch other thieves on camera when they try to steal from the business.

But using the eqiupment to spy on those we know? Well, it depends on how its being used, as how it is used could see a huge infringement on people’s privacy, and when is it to far? It is possible to record a persons movements all day with all the gps vehicle tracking, phone spying software and hidden cameras that are now available. So arent we taking this all over the top? we’ve been worried for awhile that our governments being spying on us, but now we’re being spied on by family and friends? We must make sure that while using such devices to protect ourselves that we dont turn the country into a ‘Big brother state’, where only the privacy in the inside of our heads is all we have left. Awsome stuff I say

Cheap Laptops

Posted by: samgreen | Comments (0)

What is the difference between the various new cheap laptop models and more expensive ones? Well, technical features have a heavy word to say for the matter and cheap laptops are usually the ones which come with less RAM, less memory, and also which can be used as notebooks for accessing the Internet and sending e-mails at more affordable prices. There are many cheap laptops available on the market nowadays. Dell, IBM, Toshiba, Sony and Gateway are just a few brand names that also design cheap laptops.

In what follows you can find some information about these manufacturers’ supply of cheap laptops. Dell Inspiron 1100, Gateway 400SP Plus, Toshiba Satellite A15, Sony VAIO GRT CTO, IBM ThinkPad R40e Series, as well as others, are generally advertised in online catalogs and extensively sold by retailers. One common feature of the above mentioned cheap laptops is their 10/100 integrated Ethernet. Even the duration of battery power remains similar with values between one and three hours depending on the brand.

Therefore it is normal to find them in different price segment. Almost with all of these laptops the display is around 14 – 15 XGA TFT. In as far as the hard disk size is concerned, we can say that they are quite similar with a 20 or 30 GB capacity. One other feature shared by cheap laptops is the small size, as they only weigh eight pounds at the maximum. They all have Intel Celeron processors ranging from 1.7GHz to 2.2GHz, but if were we to judge by the slight differences among these cheap laptops, we could say that the price variations should not be very big either.

On the other hand there are stores and online firms deal in reconditioned used cheap laptops. Take for instance laptopcloseout.com of Toronto, Canada, and you get a comprehensive list of items in the refurbished category. This firm works with renowned computer and laptop manufacturers, therefore, the quality of the merchandise is quite high enabling the customers to purchase best quality refurbished used computer PCs and notebooks accessories.

In addition, another explanation for the necessity of cheap laptops is the necessity for computerized education that opens the access of the electronic world to children with few financial means. The program One Laptop per Child has opened new perspectives in the efforts to do more for the educational systems. Evidently, for such projects state-of-art computers and laptops are not the only variant here. The cheap laptops provided by different manufacturers should prove suitable for the purpose, as there are virtually no technical requirements to meet other than proper functionality.

How Bryan fixed my computer

Posted by: samgreen | Comments (0)

I have suffered of late from what seems to me to be the slowest most annoying computer ever. The man I was moaning to was Bryan a good friend of mine and total computer nerd. I discussed my computer problems with Bryan and asked his help picking a new computer. Bryan took a while to ponder my issue and while rubbing his bushy white beard said calmly “You don’t need another computer”. I reiterated once more to Bryan just how annoyed I was with my computer in fact the other day I honestly wanted to destroy it with a hammer. In fact I was somewhat annoyed with Bryan for not recognizing my pain. However Bryan did go on to explain further and said “It seems to me your issue is with Windows registry errors”. I guess what Bryan said would make sense to most computer guys but to me it was gobbledygook what Bryan said makes sense to computer savvy guys but to me it was like another language. Not wanting to seem foolish I carried on as if I understood Bryan and said “Ah I see”. At this point Bryan had clearly noticed from the spaced out look in my eyes that I really had no idea what he was talking about. He produced a pen and paper and wrote upon the paper the web site fix-this-computer.com. He then went on to explain that I should visit this site and look under the fix windows registry errors section and from this I should select an option for a free registry scan which would identify and registry errors present on my computer and after this would give me the option to repair them. I took his advice and now my computer works a treat, cheers Bryan.
