Another light weight and non flammable material that can be used to shingle your roof is aluminum. The property of this material makes it suitable for areas that have frequent hailstones. These are often used to decorate your roofs. These are cheaper to asphalt shingles.

Slate shingles act as weather shield that protects your roof from extreme climatic conditions. These shingles find places generally in residential areas and palaces etc. They lasts for longer period of time but are very brittle.

Ensure you have an adequate amount of nails while installing shingles. Your roof must be cleaned from all leaks and other microbes so that they can not harm your roof material any further. Moreover shingling should be done in dry weather.

One should not go for installing roof shingles without acquiring fair learning about it. Call in the roofers, if you face problem in putting them. Choose them according to your requirement since each differs in some or the other aspect. Just unstained your roof and check for if your roof contains moss and lichens. Just clear them too.
